Mendon Board of Health approves septic local upgrade, amends tobacco rules. In a unanimous vote, the board accepted a local upgrade for a septic replacement at 49 Uxbridge Road with plan designer Robert Knapik attending, and amended the town's Tobacco Regulations to change "shall" to "may" in the violations section, effective immediately. The board also unanimously voted to rescind tobacco citations issued in September 2025 for coupon violations to affected establishments, after learning a similar Cumberland Farms case resulted in a judge finding the term "coupon" too vague.
Health Agent Colleen Strapponi reported ongoing water potability issues at 67 Hartford Avenue West, where well water remains coliform-positive after two shock treatments, and continued efforts to restart a rabies vaccination clinic inactive since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
