Committee advances site evaluation for Senior Center expansion project.

MENDON — Senior & Community Center Building Committee reviews four candidate sites for expansion. Chair Phil Cieply led the committee through a pros-and-cons analysis of each location while consultant Jack Hunter agreed to assess water and sewer feasibility; committee member Lawney Tinio reported meeting with State Senator Fattman to explore funding opportunities, including possible Community Preservation Act dollars and ADA compliance grants. The committee plans to staff a table at the November 6 Special Town Meeting and boost visibility at town events, with the Select Board expected to approve the architect contract at its next meeting.
