Conservation Commission approves two residential determinations of applicability.
Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 14, 2026
Mendon Conservation Commission approves two determinations of applicability with conditions on residential work. Vice Chair Carl Hommel and member Peter Coffin guided approval of a 20-by-22-foot garage at 18 Dudley Road, which requires double-layer erosion controls on a slope near wetlands 50 feet away; applicant Bento Castro will return with a Notice of Intent. At 17 Sandra Circle, the commission unanimously approved tree removal with conditions preserving stumps and 8-to-12-foot wildlife snags, requiring machinery to stay on paved areas.
A third matter at 80 and 82 Uxbridge Road was continued to May 28 pending an updated site plan including a proposed six-foot engineered retaining wall.
