Conservation Commission issues dock approval and conditions new house construction

MENDON — Conservation Commission approves modular dock and conditions house at two Kinsley Lane properties. The board unanimously permitted a seasonal aluminum dock at 61 Kinsley Lane on Lake Nipmuc, with the applicant David Doherty required to secure a separate state Chapter 91 license. At the adjacent 54 Kinsley Lane, the Commission approved a new single-family house on a grandfathered lot with two mandatory conditions: a preconstruction meeting and riprap placement at an outflow pipe; approximately 700 square feet of driveway extends into the 100-foot buffer zone to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, triggering the wetlands law and a Notice of Intent requirement.
Susan Cahalan was the sole dissenter on the house approval. The Commission also continued a Notice of Intent hearing for 2 Nipmuc Drive to February 12 and issued a Certificate of Compliance for 39 Millville Street.
