Mendon Land Use Committee unanimously approved a revised Five-Year Land Use Program restoring language to promote affordable housing projects. The committee heard a preliminary presentation of a proposed age-restricted mixed-use development on privately owned land at 44, 46, and 50 Milford Street, with unit counts ranging from 42 to 72 units, developer Bob Sweet and broker Duncan Chapman indicated the project would meet the required 10 percent affordable housing threshold and potentially exceed it with Community Preservation Act incentives. The committee also unanimously approved transfer of $4,700 in unused survey funds back to the Mendon Land Bank and agreed in principle to consolidate energy-related grant accounts under Energy Coordinator Isabella Genova's administration.
