Mendon library trustees upheld vendor policy in declining Serenitea coffee stand request.
Taft Public Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of September 17, 2026
Mendon library trustees upheld vendor policy in declining Serenitea coffee stand request. The Taft Public Library Board determined to enforce its standing policy against outside vendor sales when Serenitea, closing its Mendon location to relocate to Hudson, sought to operate pop-up coffee stands on library grounds; trustees indicated openness to Friends-sponsored fundraising sales. Trustee Leesa Michael was tasked with drafting a State Aid Use and Allocation policy for the library's $102,658.80 in state aid, proposing allocation into Emergency Fund, Operations and Staff Development, and Projects categories, with voting set for October 15.
Director Andrew Jenrich reported completion of FY26 staff evaluations, resignation of an On Call assistant, and new staff reporting to Assistant Town Administrator Jen O'Neill.
