Mendon Board of Health approves prior minutes and contract extension.

Board of Health · Meeting of May 13, 2026

Mendon Board of Health unanimously approves contract extension and prior minutes. The board renewed its fiscal 2027 trash and recycling services contract with EL Harvey and formally approved meeting minutes from March 11, March 25, and April 8. Health Agent Colleen Strapponi reported that MassDEP declined the board's request for extended environmental testing at 5 Harrington Street, citing staffing constraints, but Vice-Chairman Tom Fichtner offered to design a data-logging plan for potential future noise monitoring.

Strapponi also updated the board on ongoing food truck inspections at Vandervalk Farm and routine food establishment compliance in town, with one facility requiring correction of dumpster placement. The board named Nipmuc Regional High School student Tyler Carvalho as the 2026 scholarship recipient.
