Mendon approves fiscal 2027 budget of $27.8 million, contingent on override passage. The $26.1 million base operating budget passed with 353 voters in favor and 37 opposed; a $564,402 transfer from the Stabilization Fund and a $1.1 million contingency contingent on a Proposition 2 ½ override brought the Mendon-Upton Regional School District budget to $13.7 million. Voters also authorized $2.05 million in borrowing and $566,379 from capital reserves for a Providence Street culvert replacement project, and approved a new Town Administrator by-law granting the Select Board's appointee broad hiring and procurement authority.
Community Preservation transfers totaling approximately $363,412 were directed to affordable housing, historic preservation, and school-debt projects.
