Select Board approves highway deficit spending, police cadet appointment, climate grant.

MENDON — The Mendon Select Board set Annual Town Meeting for May 12, 2026, and opened the warrant for submissions through April 16. In a series of unanimous votes, the board authorized the Highway Superintendent to spend up to $125,000 in deficit funding for snow and ice removal and appointed Sean Glennon as a Police Department Cadet. The town accepted a $100,000 Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grant for climate resilience planning, with the Town Administrator authorized to administer the funds.

The board also authorized the Police Chief to assign election details for 2026 elections.
