Select Board approves May 19 election warrant and fiscal year 2027 budget overview.

Select Board · Meeting of April 29, 2026

Mendon Select Board unanimously approved the warrant for May 19 town elections and heard Town Administrator Jeremy Stull's FY2027 budget presentation, which relies on stabilization funds and a Proposition 2½ override. The warrant includes nine elected offices and a ballot question authorizing an additional $1.1 million in property taxes for the Mendon-Upton Regional School District, driven by rising assessments, health insurance, and special education costs. Superintendent Maureen Cohen thanked the Board and Finance Committee for their collaborative process.

The Board scheduled an additional warrant walkthrough before the May 12 Annual Town Meeting.
