Mendon boards approve $27.3M budget with $1.1M school override. Select Board Chair Jason Kuter and Finance Committee Chair Michael Krager led unanimous approval of the FY2027 town budget totaling $27,327,491.42, which includes reduced Finance Committee reserves of $50,000 and elimination of clerical positions from the committee budget. The Select Board unanimously authorized placing a $1.1 million override question on the May 2026 town election ballot to fund the Mendon-Upton Regional School District operational budget beginning July 1, 2026.
Resident Kim Stover spoke in favor of the school override, emphasizing community growth and support for vulnerable populations.
