Select Board · Meeting of October 21, 2026

Mendon's Select Board sent $80,616 in surplus new-growth revenue to the stabilization fund ahead of a Special Town Meeting. Town Administrator Jeremy said the certified new growth figure came in at $315,208, about $140,000 above the original $175,000 estimate, after the town's assessing vendor completed additional inspections late in the certification window. The board also voted unanimously to keep the Senior Means Tested Exemption at 150 percent of the state circuit breaker credit, covering 12 households for $23,929, and approved transferring an all-alcohol license at 84 Uxbridge Road to new ownership at Alicante restaurant.

Police Chief Kersey said he has "zero interest right now moving forward with any type of flock use" regarding license-plate reader cameras, and the board tabled a draft ALPR policy pending a public hearing expected in November. Select Board member Jason Kuter said a professional holiday light display would run roughly $30,000, prompting the board to stick with volunteer decorating instead.
