Mendon hosts State Primary, records 1061 votes cast

Mendon State Primary draws 1061 votes on September 1. The election at Miscoe Hill School recorded 688 Democratic ballots and 373 Republican ballots cast, with results posted at 8:40 pm by Town Clerk Ellen Agro. Among major races, Edward Markey received 448 Democratic votes for U.S.
Senator, defeating Seth Moulton's 235 votes; John Deaton led Republican balloting with 327 votes for U.S. Senator. Maura Healey took 589 Democratic votes for Governor, while Michael Roger Minogue led Republicans with 272.
Poll workers, wardens, and officers coordinated the 12-hour election operation at Miscoe Hill School.
