Mendon Conservation Approves Dock, Shed Wetland Permits

Conservation · Meeting of September 22, 2026

Mendon Conservation presses garage rep over wetland buffer parking and an oil-sheen complaint. Vice Chair Terence Moore and the panel questioned Jason Tetro, a representative of Sapphire Homes LLC, about vehicles parked as close as 30 feet from a wetland at 111-113 Uxbridge Road, home to Hector's Garage; Tetro said all but two cars had been cleared and the rest would move "tomorrow." The commission agreed to a site visit before its September 24 meeting to check the buffer zone and inspect a stream for the reported sheen, which the conservation agent said would be reportable to MassDEP if confirmed. Separately, the board closed a hearing on a 28-foot seasonal dock at 59 Kinsley Lane on Lake Nipmuc, voted unanimously to confirm a wetland boundary and approve a shed at 15 Misco Road, continued a fire-rebuild notice at 109 Uxbridge Road to September 24, and approved a certificate of compliance on Uxbridge Road contingent on silt-fence removal within two weeks.
