Select Board fills six town positions in hiring round

Mendon Select Board appoints Jennifer O'Neill as the town's new Assistant Town Administrator. Voting unanimously, the Board approved O'Neill at an annual salary of $71,000 to fill a newly budgeted position. Five other staff appointments also passed unanimously: firefighter Paul Weston at $34.63 per hour, Council on Aging Outreach Coordinator Shelby Corbin at $25 per hour for 32 hours weekly, and three additional town hires.

O'Neill will serve as Acting Town Administrator from July 20 through August 31 during Town Administrator Jeremy Stull's leave. The Board unanimously accepted a $17,432 Last Call Foundation grant for a Fire Department gear dryer.
