Trustees approve policies, seek expanded library services

Mendon library trustees approve two policies and request $6,300 in additional funding. The Taft Public Library Board unanimously adopted the Solicitation Policy and Emergency Policy at its February 12 meeting. Director Andrew Jenrich is requesting additional fiscal 2027 funding for furniture ($2,000), programming ($2,000), and expanded Monday hours ($2,300).

The board reported that approximately two-thirds of strategic plan goals have been accomplished. The Friends of the Library welcomed a new member and continue operating a tree giveaway program with more than 60 registrations.
