Parks Commission approves 37-employee summer recreation hires

Mendon Parks Commission approves 37 seasonal recreation hires, including promotions and compensation adjustments. Parks Director Dan Byer recommended the slate of summer staff, with Alan DeAngelis and Jennifer St. John returning as recreation program director and assistant director at $28 and $25 per hour respectively.
Eleanor Poitras was promoted from senior counselor to recreation manager. All returning staff receive a 25-cent raise; new hires start at minimum wage. The commission unanimously approved the hiring recommendation.
