Parks Commission promotes three seasonal summer counselors

Parks Commission · Meeting of July 9, 2026

MENDON — Parks Commission promotes three summer staff, approves Mock Signing event. The Parks Commission unanimously promoted three seasonal summer staff members—Danielle Chrabaszcz, Margaret Boates, and Rylie Loftus—to Senior Counselor positions at $16 per hour, retroactive to their summer employment start dates, in response to staffing shortages after senior counselors departed following orientation. The commission also unanimously approved the Aug. 2 Mock Signing of the Declaration of Independence as a municipal event, waiving all associated parks fees, with logistics including shuttle buses, ADA parking, and entertainment coordination.

The commission addressed summer programming challenges including low Tennis in the Park enrollment and discussed exploring pickleball programming, which has demonstrated higher interest with multiple sessions and waitlists.
