Planning Board approves Morrison Drive plan, permit

Planning Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026

Mendon Planning Board clears Morrison Drive plans, punts two other projects to October. The board voted unanimously twice to approve a site plan review waiver and a special permit for 3 Morrison Drive, after engineer Dale McKinnon detailed a Norway spruce buffer, wall-pack lighting kept off the rear of the property, and a 2,000-gallon holding tank meeting state regulation 314 CMR 18.00. At 36 Milford Street, Nathan Chamberlain of Sealstone Land Consultants said his team "didn't receive the comments from Graves until the end of last week" and won a continuance to October 5, with outstanding items including a mapped state priority habitat area and snow storage locations.

The board's longest discussion concerned 109 Uxford Road, where Town Planner Dylan Lindholm said the site's General Business zoning corridor extends roughly 30 feet past its mapped Rural Residential boundary, covering the proposed building; that application was also continued to October 5 pending a Department of Environmental Protection stormwater response.
