Planning Board Continues Oxford Road Warehouse Hearing
Planning Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026
Mendon Planning Board opens hearing on fire-rebuilt Oxford Road warehouse, then continues it. Town Planner Dylan Lindholm told the board the rebuild needs a full peer review because it qualifies as a major site plan review, despite the property co-owner's request for an abbreviated process given that the new building matches the burned structure's footprint. The plan replaces a building lost to a May 2025 fire with a 4,500-square-foot warehouse split into four contractor bays, with Fourth Generation Nursery, parent company of Feeds and Needs, expected to take one or two spaces.
Abutter Carol raised wetlands and fire-truck-access concerns, saying a neighboring property "does a lot of mechanic work" with "trash trucks all out back." The board continued the hearing to September 24 pending a stormwater review from engineer Jeff Walsh, and separately continued unrelated site plan cases at 3 Morrison Drive and 36 Milford Street to September 21.
