Mendon Water Commission approves Eagle Scout fire hydrant project. Commissioners Vincent Roy and Chair Kevin Rudden unanimously approved Kelsey Shea's proposal to repaint approximately 35 fire hydrants across Mendon's water system as an Eagle Scout project, with Shea to lead volunteer recruitment and fundraising efforts. In related business, the Commission plans to issue a new request for proposals for its certified water operator contract after more than five years of auto-renewal with Whitewater without competitive bidding, aiming to finalize and award a new contract by July 1.

The Commission also approved a $323.23 leak abatement for a homeowner at Edwards Road.
