Water Commission tackles water quality testing and equipment needs.

Water Commission · Meeting of June 11, 2026

MENDON — Water Commission holds annual reorganization, addresses coliform in water. The commission unanimously re-elected Kevin Rudden as Chair and elected Vincent Roy as Vice Chair on June 11. Recent water samples from the Town Hall Campus and Memorial Park water systems tested positive for total coliforms, prompting the board to delay equipment purchases and plan additional testing estimated at approximately $11,000.

The commission is soliciting at least three quotes for water operator services currently provided by White Water at $27,000 annually ($13,000 public side, $14,000 customer side). A financial planning workshop is scheduled for June 29.
